Macros sound awesome! How do I start?

First off- thank you all for not being totally scared off by my half-naked pictures I posted last week! Getting so much positive feedback and interest from these more personal/less pretty posts makes it easier to press the publish button on the next one. In case you missed it last week, I talked about a new way of eating that I have been doing for the last 12 weeks. It’s called macro dieting, and the name sounds fancy but the basis of it is super simple. Macro dieting is finding what your body needs to function its best, in terms of what percent of your diet needs to be carbohydrates, fat, and protein. Changing the way I eat- and giving you the low down on macros

Oh my gosh, I’m not even sure where to start. It’s been a really, really long time since I’ve blogged, even longer since I’ve blogged about something personal. I’ll start with Hello, my name is Erin. I’m a 37, almost 38 year old lady, with three kids, a husband who works a whole bunch, and a slight obsession with working out. But let me be clear, my obsession with working out means I spend a lot of time doing it, but it doesn’t mean that I’m very good a pushing myself to go 100% when I’m at the gym. Blue Apron review

Recently I’ve been hearing a lot about the home delivery food service called Blue Apron. Several big name bloggers have written about it (here and here) and it sounded intriguing. Blue Apron lets you choose a meal plan that works with your dietary preferences and then it delivers all the ingredients plus recipes for at least three meals a week. Food deliveries come once a week and you can choose how many servings you would like for each meal. It’s not cheap though- $9.99 a person per meal. Certainly cheaper than eating out for a meal but you could buy all the ingredients for far less if you did the grocery shopping yourself. But you are paying for the convenience of shutting of your brain and having someone meal plan for you and do all the grocery shopping. It all sounded convenient and maybe the answer to my “I hate …

Raise your forks {overnight oats}

We don’t talk much about healthy eating here on Suburban Bitches and I’m not sure why. Both Tricia and I have pretty healthy lifestyles and do good most of the time with eating. Sure there’s the french fries that I HAVE to have after 3 beers. But I try and get myself to the gym to make up for every fry that I slathered in ketchup and stuffed in my face over the weekend. Which, should you be a local of Fort Collins, would be the fries from Crown Pub. Their fries are the best along with the curry dipping sauce!
