Thursday Ten {Anthropologie Home}

Earlier this week Anthropologie announced an expansion of their home line that is carried online and on a limited basis in stores. Geesh, as if I need any more reason to spend money there. It’s enough that my whole clothing allowance is spent in that store but now I hate to start a home decor habit there as well. Hopefully the home stuff will get marked down as quickly as the clothing so maybe I can afford a few pieces. Today I wanted to share 10 items I pinned from their new home line, and up front I’ll say, these were just pinned so prices weren’t even considered. Thursday Ten {Modern kid rooms}

  My sweet adorable Spanish friend is having a baby! Ok, it’s baby number three so she’s finally starting to think about the baby’s room with just seven weeks to go. They’re starting to work on baby names too – right now Baby Quesadilla is her daughter’s favorite. What do you think? Baby Boy and my friend’s four year old daughter will be sharing a room. She wants to incorporate grays and go with a modern vibe room. My friend has asked me to help decorate the room for her little one and I’ve been on the hunt for fun, modern and primarily gender neutral rooms. This is her primary inspiration photo. Back to School {Zara}

Are you as excited about back to school as I am? Over the last two weeks of summer we had encounters with the stomach flu, colds, strep throat and scarlet fever (I didn’t even know that really existed outside of gothic romance novels).  I have definitely earned sending my kids away for the day! Number 1 started middle school on Monday and Number 2 started at her school yesterday. I might have been straight out the door to go celebrate with Bloody Marys after she left. I had contemplated making it a productive day but then my husband reminded me that a day started with a Bloody is always a good one. Where are your go to places for back to school shopping? Thursday Ten {wall sconces}

Never in my young life did I think that wall sconces would excite me. Young men in Calvin Klein underwear ads- yes those excited my young self but never a shiny gold wall light. Today I’m afraid my eye is more drawn to the beauties adorning the walls of homes showcased on Pinterest rather than the chiseled men sporting tightie whities (exception- David Beckham’s H & M Superbowl Commercial 2014). Thursday Ten {Rain boutique} and flower workshop!

Erin and I love supporting and collaborating with local businesses. Two of our favorite Fort Collins businesses are Lace and Lilies and rain boutique. We’re excited to announce that together with rain and Lace and Lilies we’ll hosting a special FoCo Home Grown Girls Night Out! We can’t get enough of Lace and Lilies’ utterly gorgeous and unique floral designs (you can read about our past workshops with Lisa and Lacey here and here) and we’re teaming up with them for our third flower workshop. Even more exciting Erin and I are thrilled to be hosting the workshop at Rain – the hottest little clothing and home decor boutique around.
