Easy Halloween Banner

Other than at Christmas I’m not a go-all-out kind of holiday decorator. I’m more into minimalism as in maybe one little something to mark the day and that’s just so the kids won’t think I forgot about said holiday entirely. Halloween generally falls into this category. Like maybe I’ll put up this cute little “Boo” banner my friend Kelly made and call it a day. This year though Cutting Edge Stencils contacted me and asked if I’d like to try out one of their new Halloween stencils and I accepted the challenge. I chose the Crow Stencil and made this easy Halloween banner. Halloween {dinner & a peek}

Happy Halloween everyone! Are you busy getting your little ones in their costumes and getting treats ready for all those ghosts and goblins? Yesterday our little guys had their preschool party – Flash and the shark had a great time. Today it’s on to the elementary school for the party and parade there followed by a busy night of Trick or Treating. Happy Halloween from a dead prostitute & a ghostly Frida Kahlo!   Are you spooked yet? This year our gang is made up of puppies for sale & a DJ mummy.   A Flash Gordon who thinks it’s too early for action.     A shark and an owl – we’re going for nature this year!   An a 6th grader who decided at the last minute he’s much too cool to dress up. Friday Five {Halloween}

Right now I’m enjoying a freshly brewed cup of coffee picked up from one of the many nearby drive-thru coffee stands. Obviously I’m not at home because that’s the one thing missing from Fort Collins that would make it perfect. I thought I was going to die when I first move to Colorado, I had a newborn and had no easy access to a skinny vanilla latte. I’m in the land of coffee, wine, wild waves and snow capped mountains otherwise known as Oregon for the weekend and you can bet I’ll be heading to a coffee stand at least once a day.
